Formula 1 German Grand Prix Qualifying Saturday

Weather: sunny/overcast and dry, 24-27C air, 37-45C track
A disappointing qualifying for the Sauber F1 Team ahead of the German Grand Prix. Felipe Nasr and Marcus Ericsson finished qualifying on the Hockenheimring in P21 and P22 respectively.

Marcus Ericsson (car number 9):
Sauber C35-Ferrari (Chassis 02/Ferrari)
Qualifying: 22nd in Q1 (1:17.238 min / supersoft tyres)
3rd practice: 17th (1:17.685 min / supersoft tyres / 19 laps)
It is a disappointing result to start the race from the last row. It seemed to be a positive weekend, as we were going in the right direction and also found some positive results with the new rear wing. In terms of the cars balance, I felt comfortable. But in qualifying, especially, our performance is not good enough. It will be a tough race, but, as always, we will do what we can.

Felipe Nasr (car number 12):
Sauber C35-Ferrari (Chassis 03/Ferrari)
Qualifying: 21st in Q1 (1:17.123 min / supersoft tyres)
3rd practice: 18th (1:18.057 min / supersoft tyres / 24 laps)
It has been another difficult qualifying for us. I felt I was on a good lap, although we cannot see it in the result. At the moment, this is the maximum we can extract out of our current package in qualifying. We have saved a set of tyres, so hopefully we can make good use of them in the race. We normally have a decent race pace, so I am confident I can move up a few positions. As always, I will do my best.
